NOTIFICATION




This is in continuation of PBCC
Notification No. 518/SY/PBCC/LHR dated
31-12-2021,
the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons in its meeting
held on 11th March, 2022 vide agenda item No. 3 approved the following
recommendations of the Sub-Committee constituted in this
reagrd:

1.     
For the
purpose of improvement of grade/marks, a candidate will be
provided with four examination opportunities
in current/prevalent
syllabi
within a period of three years after having passed the SSC or
HSSC Examination, in the same subjects/group
in which he/she previously passed the examination subject to the condition that
he/she has not attainted the
higher qualification during this period.
However, it will be the choice of a candidate whether
he/she
appears for
improvement of marks in any subject/subjects or part I
or II or as whole with the condition that
the candidate can avail
these
four chances mentioned above till the improvement of the
actual result within three years. Once the
result of the candidate is
improved,
he/she will not be allowed to appear again.

2.     
Next
higher qualification means the completion of HSSC or
equivalent for candidates appearing to
improve SSC results and it is
completion
of Associate Degree in Arts (ADA)/Associate Degree in
Sciences (ADS)/ Bachelor of Studies (BS) or
equivalent for the
candidates
appearing to improve HSSC results.

3.     
The candidates appearing to improve their overall Grade
"E" or "D"
are
allowed to avail four chances within three years till the
achievement of overall Grade "C"
(50% marks).

4.     
The candidates appearing for improvement after a gap of
two years
from the year
of passing of SSC/HSSC will have to provide an
affidavit that he/she has not attained the higher
qualification.

5.     
The Result Sheet and Certificate issued by the Board must
reflect the
number of
attempts a candidate has availed.

6.     
Other rules of improvement currently in vogue in all
Boards of the
Punjab will
remain the same.

7.     
As already notified by the PBCC, the candidates who had
appeared
in SSC/HSSC
Examination (Annual) 2020 and onward can avail these
chances if they have not improved their result
previously. The
candidates
having overall 'E' or 'D' grades may avail their chances
accordingly.




The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) in its
meeting held on 30th March 2022 vide Table Agenda Item No. 1
approved the following
schedule to accept the Admission Forms of SSC/HSSC
candidates who
intend to avail improvement chance notified vide PBCC Notification No. 518/SY/PBCC/LHR dated
31-12-2021 and No. 96/SY/PBCC/LHR dated
31-03-2022.

Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education

The Sub-Committee
deliberated the matter thoroughly and after thread bare discussion, recommended
as under:




  1. For the
    purpose of improvement of grade/marks, a candidate will be provided with
    four examination opportunities in current/prevalent syllabi within a
    period of three years after having passed the SSC or HSSC Examination, in
    the same subjects/ group in which he/she previously passed  the examination subject  to the condition that he/she has not

    the discretion of a candidate whether he/she appears for improvement of
    marks in any  subject/subjects or
    part I or II or as whole with the condition that the candidate can avail
    these chances till improvement of the actual result. Once the result of
    the candidate is improve, he/she will not be allowed to appear in the
    remaining chances.




  1. Next
    higher qualification will be the completion of HSSC or equivalent for
    candidates appearing to improve SSC results and this will completion of
    ADA/ADS/BS or equivalent for candidates appearing to improve HSSC results,

    candidates appearing to improve their 3rd division/grade “E” or
    “D” are allowed to appear  till the
    improvement of the 3rd division or achievement  of Grade “C” (50% marks) before completion
    of stipulated period/ chances.

  3. The
    candidates appearing for improvement after a gape of two years from the
    year of passing of SSC/HSSC will have to provide an affidavit that he/she
    has not attained the higher qualification.

  4. Old
    posting will be taken from latest previous result.

  5. The
    Result Sheet and Certificate issued by the Board must reflect the number
    of attempts a candidate has availed.



7.     Other rules of improvement presently in practice in all Boards
of the Punjab may remain the same.



After detailed discussion the
house approved the above recommendations of the sub-committee as given below:

PBCC Notification of Syllabus & Practical
Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has issued an important official notification regarding the syllabus and Practical Examinations for the board exams 2022. According to the notification, this year the complete syllabus would be followed for board exams and no smart syllabus would be implemented for Matric and Intermediate. The practical examinations will also be held by all the boards of Punjab for Matric and Intermediate students and the practicals will be set only from part 2 syllabus of Matric and Intermediate.
