The Inter-Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) has approved to increase the age limit for taking examinations in technical boards from 17 years to 30 years in order to provide certificate and diploma facilities to young talents across the country, while intermediate across the country. The study of Qur'an will be taught as an additional subject at the level of 100 marks and will also be included in the scheme of studies. The approval was given at the IBCC meeting of the Heads of Education Boards across the country on Thursday. Formal approval was also given in the meeting to implement a new grading system which will be implemented in the next three years. Secretary IBCC Prof. Ghulam Ali Malah said that skilled labor, which includes plumbers, technicians, electricians, welders and others, need a technical diploma or certificate for employment abroad, but the reason is their age. They don't get diploma or certificate, but now the age of taking the exam has been increased, now they will get diploma or certificate according to their skills. He further said that the existing grading system at matric and inter levels is now being abolished and in the next three years, a 10-point grading system will be implemented in the entire country by the year 2025. will go He said that under this grading system, the term 'F' meaning 'Fail' has been removed from the student's examination remarks and replaced with 'U' meaning Unsatisfactory. Similarly, the students who get marks from 95 to 100 percent will have grade A which is called exceptional. Similarly, A grade from 90 to 95 percent is called outstanding, A grade from 85 to 90 is called remarkable, and B grade from 80 to 85 is called excellent. According to Secretary IBCC, B grade from 75 to 80 is called very good, B from 70 to 75 is called good and C grade from 60 to 70 is called fair, while D grade from 50 to 60 is called satisfactory and from 40 to E grade up to 50 which is called sufficient.
On the other hand, the meeting will also approve that matric and inter exams will be held in April and May and the results will be released by August.
