paper cancel news 2023 today |Exams 2023 in Punjab not to take place tomorrow
The Punjab education authorities have announced the cancellation of the ninth-grade exams scheduled for May 10, Wednesday, due to the current uncertain situation prevailing in the province. The decision has been taken considering the safety of the students and staff members.
The Punjab Higher Education Department (PHED) has issued a statement, declaring the cancellation of all exams in the province, and assured that the students will be informed about the new exam dates soon.
Moreover, the PHED has also directed the closure of all colleges and universities in the province as a precautionary measure. The move has been taken to ensure the safety of the students and faculty members.
This decision has come in the aftermath of Imran Khan's arrest by Rangers personnel from the premises of the Islamabad High Court on the National Accountability Bureau's warrant. The PTI has called for nationwide protests, urging their supporters to block all roads and close all shops.
As a result, PTI workers have staged demonstrations in multiple cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, and Mardan.
The British Council has also announced the cancellation of all papers scheduled for May 10. However, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, and the Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, have decided to proceed with their scheduled exams.
